Indy Pro Series Profile

2008

Took the year to prepare for the 2009 racing season by testing the Indy Lights car and practicing more on road courses. I am currently planning on running down at Daytona the weekend of the 9th and 10th with the SCCA series. I tested Steve Eppard’s car with SWE at Homestead Miami. I was also with SWE at Iowa speedway for the open test, but I was driving in my own Indy Lights car which I purchased from Eddie Cheever Racing. I plan on debuting at the Chicagoland race on September 7th.

2007

In August of 2007 we were referred to Michael Crawford Motor Sports to discuss on how we should obtain an Indy Lights license. After meeting with Michael Crawford we set a date at Chicagoland Speedway to pass my license test. Butch Meyers was present during the test. Our test results were very pleasing, and the times showed that I was faster than the pervious year’s pole sitter. After the day’s events I was issued my Firestone Indy Lights license.

My next experience in the car came at Putnam Park Road Course. The purpose of this test was for me to gain more knowledge at road course racing. I became more comfortable with shifting and down shifting without using the clutch.

In the beginning of October, I tested the IPS car at Nashville Speedway. Although the weather was cold and not favorable to racing conditions, we still managed to turn over 200 laps. I felt very comfortable with the different racing surface that Nashville Speedway has. The team gathered valuable data, and I gained valuable racing experience.

At the first of November I enrolled in the Jim Russell driving school at Infineon Raceway. We spent three days on the road course learning different driving situations that will help further my driving career. I graduated from the advanced driving class.
